Breast cancer, the most common cancer occurring worldwide, affects not only women but also men. Learning is a never-ending journey while lifelong education will allow us to banish ignorance. The Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation organized an online talk for MOL Hong Kong titled “Early Detection Saves Lives” to enhance general awareness of breast cancer, while teaching us valuable tips for identifying breast cancer at its early stages to save our lives.
On the other hand, we celebrated “Wear Pink Day” to remind our colleagues to show concern and wish well to those with breast cancer. MOL employees in Hong Kong adorned themselves with pink clothing and accessories on 27 October 2023 to demonstrate our care for this. The workplace became a breathtaking sea of pink, which was so unbelievable! We also offered delectable pink heart-shaped cookies made by a local non-profit organization for all the “pink” participants to appreciate for their support.
Furthermore, in pursuit of our ongoing mission to support the female community, we held a “DIY Hand Cream Workshop” for our staff in collaboration with “sis works” of Hong Kong Federation of Women’s Centres. Our colleagues, irrespective of male & female, attended this workshop and they learned not only the hand cream making to moisturize their hands but also the significance of caring to oneself and others.
Together, we are learning and showing our support, sharing and love to each other and to those in need.
