Senior Sales Manager / Sales Manager (Corporate Sales), Sales and Operation

New business development is a crucial part of MOL Hong Kong. Our Business Development Team fosters customer relationship, create new business opportunities, and help driving company sales.  As our company will set up a new product unit, we are looking for high calibre talent to join our Sales and Operation Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Market and sell MOL COILPORTER® product (including leasing out) to customers who need to transport steel coils via container by ocean shipping;
  • Look for new customers and manage all stages of the sales cycle including general sales leads of prospective customers, qualifying prospects, customized proposal development, contract negotiation and management, project implementation, and actively follow through to achieve business objectives;
  • Develop sales strategy; provide specialist advice on the products and services;
  • Work with other group companies and task force team to develop marketing plans and materials for the implementation of business promotion activities;
  • Work directly with other group company and manufacturers for production and order delivery;
  • Follow through with all post-sales processes, including handle customers’ enquiries, provide product information, order processes, and any other post-sales issues (i.e. billing, settlement, collection etc); work with various individuals across companies and departments to ensure delivery of results;
  • Manage new accounts and develop long term business relationships with potential customers;
  • Assist in ad hoc projects when required.

Requirements:

  • Diploma and above in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Shipping/Logistics Management or equivalent disciplines is preferable;
  • At least 5 years relevant work experience in business development, corporate sales & marketing, and account management; with global/regional exposure is an advantage;
  • Relevant experience in shipping and logistic industry, heavy cargo work, or manufacturing is preferably;
  • Capable to deliver strong selling pitches and presentation in PowerPoint, business proposal writeup as well as hands-on experience in contract negotiation;
  • Possess proven sales track record, provide professional customer service and ability to manage project;
  • Creative with strong execution, customer centricity and strong communication skill;
  • Business trip is required, especially China and other Asian countries (e.g. Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia);
  • Product knowledge is not required as full training will be provided;
  • Good command of spoken and written English, proficiency in Chinese or Japanese is an advantage.
